About Goldsmith Counseling & Consulting
Goldsmith Counseling provides individual, couples and family counseling for adults and adolescents. Linda Goldsmith, LCPC, CADC and Kim Kallmann, LCPC, CADC are Professional Counselors specializing in Mood Disorders, Life Transitions and Addiction Recovery work. Linda and Kim work to incorporate the whole person in the counseling process in order to help clients achieve their goals. Linda has been in private practice since 2003 and Kim joined the practice in 2009.
Linda holds a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Michigan University. With her medical background, Linda believes that her clients are best served through a collaborative, team approach. She accesses both personal and professional resources to provide realistic, action-oriented initiatives for good health.
Kim holds a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lewis University, with an emphasis on children and adolescents. Kim's focus is to help her clients reach their full potential through emotional stability. Kim looks at the therapeutic relationship as important ground work to establishing the emotionally safe environment required by clients as they face many challenges in the therapy process.
Linda has worked in a variety of settings as a Counselor and an Occupational Therapist. At North Shore University Health System she was a Mental Health Specialist at The Chapman Center for Chemical Dependency providing treatment for adults and their families dealing with addictions and mood disorders. Linda provided individual and group counseling at Womencare Counseling Center in Evanston for people recovering from sexual abuse and trauma. She worked in a variety of settings as an Occupatioanl Therapist including a Pain Treatent Center.
Kim has worked in the field for 9 years in a variety of settings as a psychotherapist and chemical dependency counselor. As part of Maryville Academy's Scott Nolan Center and the Wells Center, Kim provided individual and group counseling to adolescent males with dual diagnosis. At the Center for Alcohol and Drug Services, Kim worked with young adults and adults who has received a DUI. Most recently, as part of Pilsen Wellness Center, Kim worked with mentally ill adults in an outpatient setting.
Linda and Kim are dedicated professionals who help their clients adapt to life's challenges and learn to lead independent and fulfilling lives.
